Aim: ✓✓To understand series connection to test any electrical
apparatus or machine coil (Fan coil).
✓✓To prepare series
testing board for testing electrical fan or any electrical gadgets.
Theory: Series testing board is a testing device or electrical
testing board consist of a switch , a socket and a lamp . Here switch, socket and
lamp are connected in series. Normally the
circuit is in ‘open' in this arrangement.
If the socket is shorted externally , the circuit is ‘closed’ and lamp will be ‘ON' by this arrangement.
This electrical board is very helpful to test a coil of a machine
whether it is broken / open or not .
Here we have prepared a series parallel board where series and
parallel both connection are present.
Consists of
1 fuse,1 indicator, 2 switch, 2 socket ,1 holder, one lamp.
Series connection- Fuse , switch, socket and lamp are in series
one after another with phase . Second terminal of lamp is connected to neutral whereas
first terminal is connected to phase.
Parallel connection – Fuse and switch are in series with phase
but socket is in parallel with supply

Required instrument:

Line tester
2.
Screw driver- write it’s dimension
Precautions:
1.
Connect the circuit as directed by the guide.
2.
Don’t give the supply to the circuit before checking
it by the guide.
3.
Use approved fuse wire for this circuit.
4.
Check the fuse wire of SDB if you want to test the board
apart from the lab that whether it is proper rating or not.
